Kent & Fraser gluten free crackers and biscuits

At Honeyrose, our focus is on gluten-free, natural, sweet and savoury baked treats, handmade in London, focused on the highest quality. We are London’s oldest organic wholesale bakery, doing batch, artisan handbaking, founder-managed, and give 5% of our profits to charity. We have two brands: Honeyrose (organic too) and Kent & Fraser. Both gluten-free, and with vegan options within each.
Kent & Fraser was the pioneer brand in the UK on gluten-free baking, starting over a decade ago to bake only gluten-free. We are a small family business, independent, and bake all our products ourselves in our bakery in Park Royal, in northwest London.
Though small in relative size, we take baking very seriously, here are two examples…once we worked on a recipe for 49 different versions; sounds crazy but we think the end-result was well worth it…also we have been awarded BRC AA certification, the highest quality certification possible in the food business.
We are proud to be both woman-led (Our MD, Office Manager, and QA head) and over half of our staff are women. Our founder, Lise, is a trained pastry-chef. Baking has always been a key part of her life, she recalls being 12 and emptying her mother’s cupboards for indulgent treats in her early attempts at recipes for too advanced for her skills back then. She got better and still a young teenager, she one of her first jobs was at a seaside hotel where she convinced the chef to let her make the cakes for their afternoon teas. At 18, she decided to turn obsession into profession after he baccalaureate so boarded a train to Paris, the capital of fine pastries. There she trained as a Pastry Chef under the legendary Master, Gaston Lenotre, her baking hero. In her years with Lenotre she learned the appreciation for both the time-honoured baking craft and quality ingredients, and that they together create the most delicious, heart-warming, irresistible treats.
Over the years Honeyrose has been recognised with various awards, including over 20 Great Taste Awards. As passionate believers in the benefits of Artisan Baking, we bake everything by hand, in small batches, so our Master Bakers can focus on each mix. We take pride in what we produce and derive great satisfaction from preserving time-honoured baking skills. We use fine ingredients and gluten-free flours, using recipes we have sometimes worked on for years (and nothing new is ever released without Lise’s - our Founder – sharp assessment. We have grown from just Lise doing everything including deliveries on her Vespa (and she still in the bakery every day), to supplying customers across the UK, Europe, USA and Asia. Our Honeyrose magic is also in some well known global brands we selectively bake for. Our batches are small, bout our ambitions are high and our standards for our customers are higher still.
